Putin for the Mcgee Run to Bemis stretch of the Shaver's Fork

This class 3 rapid is located on a sharp right-hand bend below RR marker 53. This marks the beginning of a mile of class 3 rapids above High Falls.
Cool series of smooth bedrock slides in the last mile above High Falls.
This is the last drop of Fall Run, a tributary which comes in on river left just above High Falls.
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in all of West Virginia.

When you see the first railroad bridge, pull off below to scout this drop. At this level, we all decided it was better to portage.
A unique and spectacular swimming hole which forms a nice class 4 rapid at runnable water levels. The easiest line is down river right, with an interesting hero line possibility down the center.
