Greenbrier River, East Fork

Trip Report

We ran it last weekend from the 4-H campground above Thornwood down to the swinging bridge in Nottingham. Level was 2.3-ish on the USGS Durbin gauge which was scrapey in spots and made for a solid 4 hour trip. We feel 2.5 on the Durbin gauge is a minimum for bump-less E Fork and W Fork trips.

As with most of the rivers / creeks in this headwaters area, scenery was exceptional save for one spot near the former E Fork Tannery site in Frank (next comment).
