Upper Paint requires alot more water than Middle or Lower. It is short and fun but wood is always in there. The best rapid is near the house but I have always heard that they are do not like people in there. The Stone House gorge is actually a gorge and surprising. When setting shuttle you don't want to paddle all the way to Mossy so leave a car just past the gorge at any of the 'fishing' spots along the road. The 'gorge' is only a mile or so long. If at the Mossy bridge near the Exxon you have waves then you are probably good to go. If the Upper is running the Middle and Lower will be nice and high. Heath Damron

Very scenic trip with it's fair share of down trees. And a bunch of flat water at the paddle out....
