Scouted this May 20th, 2014 and we ran into a guy on the trail who'd run it a fair bit. We saw the first drop (really a slide) after the put in. (1/2 mile up, first place the river flattens and the creek is nearly at trail level). Long log blocking that slide. at a diagonal. I believe there was more wood lower down but don't recall.

What there is for sure is the 'Mandatory Pin' not long after that entry slide above. there isn't a way to stop yourself really. Hence the odd description: 'mandatory'.

It's a 90 degree left turn and you must hit the wall head on first (so it's really a piton not just a pin) because there is no stopping once you drop in at the entry slide.

This guy said in his experience he generally expected a 50/50 chance of
un-pitoning and swept through the turn.
