B) Horlick Dam to Quarry Park (0.2 - 0.6 mile)
Sloping bedrock accelerates the water. When the slope diminishes partway around the bend, at low-to-moderate flows, a short smooth wave forms. Eddy far right (behind what's left of a willow on shore) to check out the grotto (upper-center frame), or paddle to the inside of the bend, upstream ferry to slow your speed, and slide out the shoulder onto the wave.
