Over 2000cfs, this run can go comfortably to Dog Creek, about 5~6 more miles. Not as many rapids, but a passable number of solid class IIIs. Take the Vollmers exit off I5, go west, south of the freeway 100+ yards on Dog Creek Road, turn left on Fenders Ferry Road, drive until past the RR bridge over the river, take out is on the river left side.

this is a very good class 3 run. I have run it in excess of 20 times all between 1,500 and 3,000cfs at delta. I have never paddled beyond Pollard Flat. From Sims to Pollard I would say there are somewhere between 15 and 20 class 3 rapids, a couple of those I would call 3+ and two rapids have class 4 to 4+ holes that can be avoided (especially the one under the second highway bridge, kayaks stay left). There are some good surf waves and holes on this run and I always bring the playboat
