Stonycreek River
2 - Stony Canyon(Hollsopple to Carpenters Park)
Alerts
Log in to add an alertRan the Stony today and noticed some wood. The first tree was just above water level on river right in the set above the railroad bridge. At 4 ft. it was visible and not a issue. Another 6' of water and it might not be noticed. The other is a full tree on the left at the bottom of the second island where the channel gets tight and there is a roostertail wave. This may be an issue if the eddy on the left just below this wave is missed. I did not notice it until below the rapid.
9-02-08 there is a big tree down that crosses the river @ the 1st major rapid that you come to if you put in @ the baseball field. It looks as tho somebody chopped it down. It may wash out when the water gets high again, but then who knows.
