This is the first of 3-4 CL IV+, V drops in this short, obscure, remote beautiful creek. Scout this one as I ran it sight unseen (DOH!)and had a bit of a run-in with the rock wall at the base of the 8ft drop. All ok,, but scout.
One of the 3-4 difficult drops. There is a sneek slot river left, but at low flows this was not an option, easy portage left. HAs been run on the right with a narrow boof move to avoid the undercut at the base. Scout carefully here.
Another view of Boat Beater
One of the several good drops that were runnable at this low flow. Some drops would get cleaner with more flow.
There were several drops in this short run. They stack up in the last mile or so. Boater Beater, Helmet Peeler, Right or Left are the 3 biggies.
This is the strat of this fine little creek.Meandering trout stream at this point. Takes a mile or more with slow progression into Cl 2-3, some small ledges, then the series of 3-5 CL 4+-5 then the junction with main WF Hood.
