River Description
This is the site of an amateur race in the Spring, which actually begins upstream on the East Branch. There's a dam portage early in the run; the most important rapid is Hill and Dale Rapid. It messes with novices' heads, but there's a substantial pool afterwards for recovery.

This was a good trip. Within 4 minutes, 3 out of 4 of us were in the drink! (keep in mind we are whitewater beginners). There is a steep hill to climb to get around one of the dams, it takes a little effort, but not too bad. I can't wait to go again. I would add photos...if my camera didn't get wet in the first 4 minutes!
