River Description
Description:
A ultra scenic small rocky stream with riffles, turns and moderate boulder gardens that runs through Valdez. A short, narrow, and constricted canyon exists toward the end of the run.
Be aware of wood as the river bed and its banks change annually.
Take-out:
A steel bridge heading up Mineral Creek road marks an ideal take-out.
Put-in:
To reach the put-in, head up the gravel road untl you find a spot where access is ideal. The road ends 3.1 miles up the valley and is subject to avalaches. Check in town for potential wash-outs.
