Log in to add a reportDid this one yesterday, and I saw absolutely nothing that would warrant a class 5 rating.
This is a very pretty creek, with one large boulder adorned with kind of a green afro hairpiece--very nice! The drops tend to be steep and twisty--great fun! I scouted 3 or 4 times, as I recall. There is a very serious boulder strainer down there on the left that you should be aware of. There are two exits from a tiny, pushy pool above this strainer, and most of the water goes into the cave. This is a very nice little creek, Class 3-4, mostly, but portaging this drop would probably be better than the way that I did it--I got thrashed, with a narrow escape. Everything else is pretty straightforward. The takeout is somewhat problematic, but solvable, with some creativity. I took out at Frog Run, after obtaining permission, or I'm sure that there must be closer access on river right, with a short hike or 4wd. Bring an atlas.
