This spot is between Deliverance Rapid and the Route 9 takeout

Other than 'Deliverance Rapid', the entire run has nothing more difficult than a class I rating. We asked the landowner just below the WV9 bridge on the left bank if we could park there. Just be sure not to park a car at the takeout without permission.

This is the the class III+ drop just below the low water bridge at high water. I call it 'Deliverance' Rapid for two reasons....1) there is a church called 'Word of Deliverance' when you are driving up to Smith Crossroads and 2) my beginner friend accidently ran this rapid on his 2nd whitewater trip ever and didn't flip!
