Big Sheep Creek

Floated this short but very fun stretch on 6/12/2020. The 3.5 miles took 50 minutes. Put in above the first small rapids you can see from the road, 3 miles up the road from the DNR Sheep Creek Campground. Takeout at the bridge by the campground as there are 2 waterfalls below. We estimated flow to be around 800-1000 cfs. Fairly continuous class 2 with a class 3+ bend & drop at mile 1 that can be seen & scouted from the road. There is also another class 3- section around mile 2.5. There are a number of good surf waves at this level. No major log jams or wood hazards. Solid class 3 skills recommended at this level.
