Granite Creek

Erik's previous post is no longer the case. Wood is everywhere and definetely a concern. Do not underestimate this run. There are trees sprawling the river and at the flow we had (4k on Methow) one wrong move and this trip very well could have ended in disaster. Be on your game and do not, repeat DO NOT take anyone down this run (at least at 4k) who is not a solid class V boater. Portaging is difficult, eddies are small, and swimming is not a backup option. Be safe. That said this was an amazing section of whitewater and I'll most likely be back again.
