This is a great run, that very few folks seem to consider. The gradient seems accurate, and consistent througout the run to East Creek. I would take out there, as there is little to no action from there to Beebe Creek (the normally suggested take-out)....at least at low flows; it was painfully shallow & manky. Bennet's gaging information seems about right as well. We ran it on 07/04/04 during a low-water year, and found it.....low. June/July seem to be the time for this run. A note of warning - Be very careful when putting on this river at higher levels. We ran it on the low-end and found eddies to be few & far between and usually only big enough for one boat. You could easily be swept into unknown rapids if you weren't careful. The rating seems good at IV-V(V+). We walked the V+ on the river-left side. It appears about a mile or so into the run. No wood of concern anywhere.
