'I floated the East Fork Lewis in Washington state at about 1900cfs (a bit above recommended) on the 22nd of December from Lewisville Park to Daybreak. As one might expect with recent moderate flow spikes on this river, the character of the run has changed a bit. Until/unless more floods clean things out, there are some serious tree hazards near half a mile above Daybreak Park. I found several spanners and main channel rootballs that required a short portage and quick thinking despite the mild gradient of this stretch. Please be advised; I'd hate to see someone get hurt on this normally easy piece of river.'
