River Description
The Big Cimarron is a trip fro those who thrive on epic adventures. The river is intense from the top and then turns it up a notch after a mile or so. When this happens get ready and keep your attention on the rapids because a few might require walking or have poorly place trees. The run is ultra steep in places and this river produces epic trips, broken boats, and broken boaters. The final miles get relatively easier.
There is no easy way to give a mile by mile hit guide for this river.
'Without the dam, the diversion, the wood, and the barbed-wire fences, this would be one of the best day runs in the state.' There's a diversion dam that's a mandatory portage. CRCII
