The rapid mentioned as a portage can go if it's clear of wood, and it can be seen from the road. Running the rapid is about as tough as the portage. Generally, this river is tough to scout from the road since the walls are so steep, and once you're in the canyon you're pretty much locked in. Fortunately, aside from the big rapid you can see from the road, and the few biggies that you can see from the road below the canyon, everything else deep in the canyon is boat-scoutable (IVish) and shouldn't collect too much wood. Be mindful that there is a meaty rapid in the trees before you get to the first dam; that one caught us by surprise.

This is one of the first drops as you enter the gorge section. This one is right above the 1st dam.
This is right above the second dam and just after the portage.
The portage on Henson Creek. comes between the dams.
ive heard this rapid called Lower Double Fives, but i am not sure if thats the 'official' name. this is towards the bottom.
again, i think this rapid is called Lower Double Fives, not sure.
this is just above (you guessed it), Lower double fives
the upper exit rapid

This is the first dam. Taken at low water.
This one might be the mandatory portage around, I'm not too certain. Taken at low water.
This is the last serious drop before it mellows out. Taken at low water.
This is somewhere in the middle of the run, below the first dam. Taken at low water.
This is the type of canyon that a good portion of the run flows through.
