River Description
The Blue River is not the ultimate high end of this river. Boating awaits you further upstream.
The Blue River stream is an overall gravel-filled class II fly fishing stream. At the right flows a few wave trains make for one or two surfs.
The small section from the campground down to the FR 2400 pull off has a small gorge. This is the only cascade of whitewater on the run.
When Boulder Creek (from the Gore Range) flows in on the left you are near the best rapids.
