Start in Alabama. Most of the run is in Georgia. Finish in Tennessee.
This one was listed in 2001. First run to my knowledge in March 2011.
There is a 40 foot waterfall in there.
The steepest gradient is in the first mile, in 'Punchbowl Gulf.' The creek then runs through 'Castle Rock Gulf' (still pretty steep), until the confluence in Georgia with Class III+ Cole City Creek. The run through Cole City Gulf is much less steep.
From the Cole City Creek description:
For the takeout I recommend driving up Nickajack Road over the bridge and continuing on when the road turns to dirt. Eventually the road will come to a wide spot right beside the river. This appeared to be the best takeout.
