River Description

Wolf Creek is extremely steep and somewhat entertaining but the big downsides are the rainfall needed and the less than optimum water quality.Certainly the creek has seen many descents since it is at the takeout of the New River Gorge. You can put in all the way up at the reservoir but it’s just as easy to hike up from the road that winds down to the takeout. The creek has some HUGE drops. We actually ran this back in the days of the Perception Dancer but it was a pin fest.If you really want a top notch creek there are other options but if your at the takeout of the New River having just finished shuttle for a flood stage run this is a fun little creek.
