River Description
The most difficult rapids on this section are shortly after the put in, up to class II just before the first bridge crossing. From the bridge down the river gets much easier, mostly quickwater alternating with a few class I rips.
There is a new gauge for this section. No observations have been made yet to help correlate flow to runnability. If you are in the area or run this section please report any beta in a comment below.
Previously the Ossipee River NHDES gage was used for levels on this section. Minimum 500 cfs. Lake Ossipee is drawn down in the fall and usually brings the river up to 800 cfs.

Log in to add a reportIce Yacthing the Ossipee early/mid March, just upriver of the boat launch on Rt 153/25 intersection in Freedom.
March 7th, 2009, Pat & Rob below Huntress Bridge Rip. Not too much of a rip in low flow, pretty decent in early and rainy seasons. Just downriver of Steve's Market before the Maine line underneath Huntress Bridge Rd.
