River Description

This is a very small steep creek draining into the Clarion River. It will take a significant amount of rain or snow melt to bring it up, but once up it is wild looking. One section drops 60 feet in a half mile, but be aware of low pipeline crossings and downed trees. If you run this, please post your comments on this page.

this one looks tight, if you stay to the left, right side of creek is passable, to avoid this if needed

Nice little slide, requires poratge directly above due to downed hemlock trees

Nice little 2' ledge above second bridge, also between to small undercut rocks, probably not an issue at higher levels

Just ran Canoe Creek the other day and forgot my camera or I would have got some nice pictures. It is a fun little creek with some nice drops along the way and decent little boofs here and there. Just like any of the small creeks in this area you have to be cautious of wood. There was plenty of wood yesterday with one spot that we had to portage. Other than that its basically class III read and run.
