'Claim Jumper' is quite possibly the best play wave in the area. Homestake couldn't have done a better job if they had hired a whitewater park designer. It's perfectly built with a wide V shape, deep landing, eddies in each corner and so on...

Entrance to the Box of Rain a series of 5 drops in the 400 fpm range.
This is the 2nd move of the Box of Rain. A 1' drop leads into a little slide type move. yada, yada, yada.
This is the fourth drop of the Box of Rain.It could have used a few more inches.
This is the 3rd drop on Shakedown Street.
Shakedown Street 4 drops in the IV range below 175 cfs. It gets a little meatier in the 200 plus range.
The 3rd drop of the Box of Rain.
One mile upstream from the box. Homestake mining company reclaimed this area and built a series of 3 ledges. Easy beginner surf.
