Potential Flows During Project MaintenanceThomas O'Keefe
Jul 4, 2024

Separate from the scheduled releases on August 17/18 and September 1/2, planned project outages will occur July 29, 2024, through August 6, 2024, and August 8, 2024, through August 16, 2024, for maintenance of project generating units. These outages may result in the release of more flow than the required minimum flow in the bypassed reach of the North Fork Rogue River between North Fork Dam and the powerhouses and could provide an unscheduled boating opportunity. Dates of the outage and flows released from the dam are subject to change without notice.

Release UpdateThomas O'Keefe
Aug 18, 2023

Please be advised that due to current inflow (approx. 350 cfs) into the North Fork Rogue PacifiCorp will not be able to meet the target of 450cfs for the whitewater release on Sunday 8/19. Releases will occur Saturday on Sunday with a shuttle provided but will be no higher than current 350 cfs inflow to the project.

Powerhouse Back Online and River No Longer FlowingThomas O'Keefe
Aug 10, 2023

Updated 8/14/23: we have been informed by PacifiCorp that they finished repairs to the powerhouse sooner than expected and both units are back online. This means that the unplanned releases have ceased. However, the scheduled releases for August 19, 20, and September 3, 4 will occur as planned and the boater shuttle will be provided as usual.

-------///////-------Original post from 8/10/23: PacifiCorp has informed us that both powerhouse units have been offline for maintenance and the Mill Creek run has been flowing. This happens about every ~5 years or so. Unit 1 was scheduled to be back in service Friday August 11th but due to a unit trip right as they were entering the outage period some equipment was damaged and it appears that both units will be offline until Aug 18. Scheduled weekend releases with shuttle are still scheduled for Aug 19, 20, and Sept 3, 4.
