Hermosa Creek

On June 28th, 2023 I biked to the confluence of the east fork and upper main fork Hermosa Creek, packrafted down a couple miles, and then hiked back. Flows were around 230 cfs. It was pretty boney at the put in but once the creek entered a forested canyon and narrowed, there was plenty of water for a micro creek adventure in a packraft. It was all class 2 with some brush tunnels and blind corners. At higher flows it may be sketchy. There were only a few wood portages in the couple of miles with easy trail side portaging.
