Log in to add a reportRiverbend to Fred Fuller Park approx 2 mile considering river bends and various eddying... playful cl1-cl2, couple rock formations get your attention, but very runnable. Ran MRC Freedom tandom with beginner open canoe paddler in bow, though he had kayak experience we floated well never in touble. Easy to walk / scouted river the day before. My pfd of that section. From Fred Fuller to Waterworks, another 6 miles was very slow, caught 12 smallmouth and a rock bass. lots on floating innertubing in bottom sections.
This is the compression wave that forms at levels above 3000 CFS. The river left side of the island can be sketchy but it is runable but a swim is not recommended.
Just to give everyone an idea of how big the wave actually is.

This is the compression wave formed by the dam bypass at levels above 3000 CFS. The left side of the island can be paddled but is sketchy due to strainers and swimming is not recommended. THIS WAVE IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS.
At about 700 cfs, it's runnable, but non of the waves will hold a boat. It's a great level to take a beginner on to teach basic skills, but if you're wanting to surf look for a higher level.
A Put in at Standing rock cemetary is an option, but it is largely flat water to Brady's leap. Once the river turns right past the Summit street bridge, it is flat water all the way to Monroe. The falls in Monroe are some braided riffles.
was curious if anyone knows if there is a put-in up stream of brady's leap and a take out further down river of stow street, and if it is even worthing running past the stow street bridge
David Hill is one of several people that worked to make this run a reality. This wave is at the end of Chris' Channel (after Chris Wing). Dave's admirers propose the wave be called 'Dave's Wave'.

Pat G plays on Dave's Wave
A great foamy pile should allow surfs, blasts, and spins on this sweet wave.
A wide, sweet wave allows multiple opportunities for fine play at this level.

Last feature upstream of Main Street bridge and dam by-pass. Bridge abutment is fully exposed at this low level.
