Laurel Run

Ran it during the flood a few months ago (maury at 8,000cfs) and it was a really fun run. I put in just about the falls and ran it out through to the maury take out. However, I hiked up there with some buddies this past week and there is now a bunch of wood down across the creek a hundred yards or so below the falls and some above it. Depending on the level and flow, you might be able to run the falls then take out before the strainers, but when i ran it the flow was so pushy that once you committed above the falls there was no eddy to catch before where the wood is now. And when i say wood, I mean very large logs and trees have come down across the whole creek in 3 or more places and it would be a very intense job to remove them all. Though I intend to try to clean it all out later in the spring.
