River Description

Fed by 2 lakes, this reach takes longer to run and runs longer than everything else in the area.

Starting on the Bog River with 4 miles of flatwater ending with a dam, the run gets tight quickly. There are a number of Class 4 ledges, more flatwater and then a series of Class 4+ to Class 5 drops. From here it will be pretty flat until the finale at Bog River Falls which dumps into Tupper Lake at the takeout.

See the New York Exposed Volume 1  for the full description.

Put in is incorrect, should be listed either on the southern side of Round Lake or the actual outlet on the north end of Round Lake. You can paddle across the lake once the ice is out, or hike in on a snowy/muddy dirt road to get to the headwaters.
