Hall Branch

Another high water desperation run if you're there and need to get wet. Park at the rail depot found by turning off Camp Austin Rd and down the hill, on the downstream river-left side of the Emory. Then drive roughly a mile upstream along Hall Branch and cross the creek. A pull-off on the left is just up a ways. Park here and hike up the old road a short distance for a 6 foot ledge.

This creek has some suprises. Though mostly class 2-3 at first, it steepens and has some both fun and nasty rapids. Scout what you cannot see. Once it's over, and somewhere in the vicinity of the rail bridge over the creek, get out on the right and bushwhack a short distant to a rail depot, where you can leave a car.
