The sliding drop below the old Morrow Cemetery Falls
The tree is gone from the river right side but at very low flow you can see what the landing zone looks like.
The falls is located upstream of the Morrow Catholic Cemetery. A trail leads down to the river here. The drop is a slide with no real threats at normal water levels.
The best rapids are below Cemetery Falls to the takeout. This is the first rapid of any note. Most of the river goes into a narrow are on the right.
It is hard to see but there is a tree in the drop on river right. You can see 2 twigs sticking up but this is a full sized pine tree.
There are no longer any trees that require portaging. There was one strainer that you can boat over when the river is a normal boatable flows.
The largest of the ledges on First Creek. The mini-canyon above the bridge open up just above this drop. It is a river wide ledge. Most of the water is on river right. This is a low water pic just above the minimum to boat it.
