Boise, S. Fork

Floated the South Fork June 21, 2010. Level 2500 cfs. Kayaker swam above logjam but made it to shore. Raft picked up kayak downstream. Kayaker unable to hike along shore as canyon extremely steep without shore. Kayaker had to swim downstream, towed by canoeist, to get to kayak. Water temp 35 degrees, without sun due to canyon walls. Very dangerous section due to cold water, lack of shoreline to use, lack of escape from 10 mile-long canyon and continuous Class III + at that level. --- Bill Tanger, FORVA, Roanoke VA
