Hiked down to the river to check out the rapid. There are two significant strainers. The first one about half down with debris on the strainers. The second strainer is a group of trees that have fallen across the river.
We rafted Coffee Pot rapids on June 22 2017; there is a dangerous tree-strainer about two-thirds down the rapid spanning the river and requiring a portage. It is pretty well visible at least 100 yards up the rapid, but still requires some technical maneuvering to get to a safe portage spot. There is another strainer almost at the end of the rapid, less dangerous but still probably requiring a portage.
