Trip Reports
Log in to add a reportIt rained really hard and I drove down to visually inspect the creek. I didn't know the CFS but it looked to have enough water to kayak. I did this run solo and quickly found a low bridge and a pipe crossign the river to scoot over and portage. This run is full of urban hazzards so be heads up. It also features moving wood piles and who knows what else.
It was a fun paddle but I was constantly boat scouting and looking for the next eddy to catch if I found another hazard. Be alert. It was a fun outing that I hope to do again. there is a bike path running along the creek for the first 1/3 or so of the run. I'd recomend using this to pre-scout. It seemed the worst hazzards were in this streatch although there were more lower down.
