Owyhee

1. Duck Valley Indian Res. to Crutcher's Crossing(East Fork Owyhee)

Reach banner

We paddled this section May 11-14, 2024, then continued through the upper and took out at Three Forks. 1,100ish cfs was a great flow where the flat water moved along quickly and the rapids were padded but not pushy.

A dewatered (marshy) oxbow is left of this bluff, and the current river course goes to the right.

This entire section is extremely remote and in 2017 shows very little evidence of humans. Walking out is not an option for most of the canyon. An excess of caution and abundance of skill is the bare minimum for entry to this area.
