There is a river wide log at the top, and another one around the corner of Bonneville Rapid. Visible from road, eddies and portage are reasonable.

June 5, 2024. A large log is blocking the entire river, wedged into the corner at the end of the rapid immediately above Kirkham Hot Springs. Easily visible from road.

On April 30 2022 there was a freshly fallen tree blocking the entire river. It is easy to spot from a ways off, but it is impassable at the current water level (637 cfs) without an easy portage on a flat gravel bar.

Ran from the campsite at ID-21 mile marker 93 (1.5 miles upstream of Bonneville Campground) down to the Tenmile bridge on 7/7/18 at approximately 900 CFS in a 12' raft. Be aware, there was a tree that reached through/across the majority of flow at what I believe is the Chapman Creek Rapid that is nearly impossible to avoid. We were able to line the boat through this section without much of a problem, but in my opinion, it isn't safe to attempt a run through. Keep your eyes open on this stretch.
