Pit 1: Fall River Mills to Pit River Campground(Pit 1 Run)
Kayakers in the water enjoy the ambiance while others finish the portage. A center chute which is sometimes run is directly behind the yellow kayak. Several people ran this chute at 800 cfs, but at 1100 cfs on Sunday, all boaters who tried, got held in the recirculation at the base till they ejected from their boats and swam. Swimmer came out immediately and were flushed over to the left bank when spectators awaited.
