River Description

At levels over 2 feet on the gauge, the Upper Mulberry becomes an option.   This stretch has several long, fun wave trains and some great surfing waves.

Most Upper Mulberry trips start at CR 10 and take out at the Garden City park (putin for the lower section).    This is a short enough run that many people continue down the lower section as well.

There were multiple cars broken into at the CR 10 putin in spring of 2019. So be aware and plan accordingly.

I guess he could'nt wait his turn, he had to get in on my surfing session
Good level for blunts, or spins, hard to loop it at this level.
We actually got 5 at a time on the wave at one point, however my better half (Becky) did'nt get a shot of us.

Dave was rippin' it up. He is the creator of surface dynamics, and started The North Alabama Whitewater Festival (NAWF). He is currently working on a playboat park in the Guntersville, AL. area.
As you can tell from the front spray he was going all out.

All ye Mulberry Fork boaters take note. Although the water is about gone, a few people go up in the afternoon to mess around. I was one of them. Last week I was doing a towel change at dusk and our neighbor had a few choice words for me. Two days later when I went back I had a 'little' trouble with my truck upon leaving the river. The problem turned out to be a half gallon of sand, rocks, twigs, leaves, and a little water to soup things up in my gas tank!!!

Please for your own sake use the changing room. Also do not drink at the take-out, smoke a bowl or have words with McCrary. I must point out after McCrary cursed me I simply left. I did not respond in any way as I did not want to provoke him. ;-O A lot of good that did me.

Please get the word out to be careful at the takeout.

It still had good foam in the hole at low water in 2004
