Soda Springs Viewpoint and Picnic Area Put-In

At North Umpqua Highway (Hwy 138) mile 55.1, turn onto Medicine Creek (Forest Road 4775), then turn left onto Soda Springs Road. Continue downstream 1.3 miles past the dam to the powerhouse. Just upstream of the powerhouse on river right, a short but poorly defined social trail leads to the pool above the tailrace. This site is not designed as a formal river access but is occasionally used by boaters. The site has the amenities of a picnic area.
