Interstate 94 Tunnel

A long tunnel passes under the interstate. At high water, this may prove impassable, which would be beyond awkward, necessitating portaging over the freeway!

Nearly the only way to check clearance would be to be eastbound on the freeway, take Exit 294 (North 164, South CTH.J), and IMMEDIATELY upon taking the exit, pull to the side of the ramp to park and walk down to the river/tunnel for a look.

The remainder of the run will have substantially different feel (or sound). Much of the time you will be within earshot of the freeway, and will be passing backyards and businesses until reaching the confluence with Fox River.
