American Whitewater would like to thank the hundreds of folks who volunteered to the make the festival happen. A few folks deserve some extra recognition for their efforts in coordinating all of the event’s volunteers. AW’s Volunteer for the month of September are Stacey Johnson, Gary Mitchell, Glen Tspara, John Hammond, Neal Dana, and Chris Flerek, who put in a ton of extra effort to make the event a success.

Stacey Johnson- Gauley Festival wouldn’t happen without Stacey. Stacey coordinated each and every volunteer who help setup, take down, and run this event. Stacey loves the festival so much she flies from Portland just to be at the event and make sure it runs so smoothly.

Gary Mitchell- Coordinated the membership drive at the festival which received close to 400 memberships.

John Hammong and Chris Flerek- The two coordinate all of the front gate and entrances to the festival, this was their first time leading this charge and they did great.

Glen Tspara- For the second year in a row Glen ran the silent auction which raised thousands of dollars for American Whitewater river stewardship work.

Neal Dana- The man with the power, literally! Neal makes sure that each of the vendors has power and the lights stay on all night. He has been a huge help and support these past few years.

Thanks so much for all of your hard work!
