Second Annual Ohiopyle Falls Race
Saturday September 30 and Sunday October 1
Last year was such a huge success, that we’re throwing another race down Ohiopyle Falls on Pennsylvania’s Lower Yough River.
Most of the proceeds will go to support American Whitewater’s work on Youghiogeny access issues, including: improving access at the upper Yough put in/takeout; improving flows and announcement of flows; developing a regional tourism plan; and future access to the falls themselves.

PURPOSES: This event is being held to:
- Raise funds for the Ohiopyle-Stewart Volunteer Fire Department;
- Raise funds for American Whitewater;
- Raise funds for improving public access sites on the Upper Yough;
- Give paddlers an opportunity to run the otherwise illegal Ohiopyle Falls; and
- Provide entertainment to the spectators.
