As AW further enhances its events program for both competitions and festivals the American Whitewater website will become the source for all your whitewater events’ needs. At this point, while the new Events section of the website is under construction, please watch for updates on the Front Page and check out the 2002 Calendar of Events for specific event information.
In the 2002 Calendar, events that start with “AWF” are stops on the 2002 Teva Tour. The Teva Tour will include thirteen events, four regional circuits, all culminating with the first ever Whitewater National Championships sponsored by Teva. Each regional circuit will include three of the best whitewater events in the country. The 2002 Teva Tour will be the series that ranks athletes in order to attend the Teva Whitewater National Championships on the Ocoee River, October 10-13th. The Teva Championships will include classes for both amateur and professional paddlers. As additional information becomes available about the Teva Tour it will be posted on the American Whitewater website.
