Jackson Kayak is a proud member of American Whitewater and now their customers will be too.  Jackson Kayak is purchasing American Whitewater memberships for the next 500 paddlers who purchase a new Jackson Kayak.

Beginning on April 1st purchasers of a Jackson Kayak will receive a free one-year membership to American Whitewater from the Jackson family.  This program is part of Jackson Kayak’s commitment to environmental responsibility.  Jackson Kayak and the Jackson family believe that membership in American Whitewater is one of the easiest and most effective ways paddlers can support environmental river stewardship.

Jackson Kayak is a family run kayak company based in Rock Island, TN.  The company began in 2003 when two-time world champion Eric Jackson recognized the need for something different in the whitewater boat marketplace.  Since then Jackson Kayak has introduced lightweight kayaks designed for all river users from children to adults.

In 2006 Jackson Kayak stepped up its commitment to environmental responsibility with membership in 1% For The Planet, an alliance of businesses committed to leveraging their resources to create a healthier planet.  Members of 1% For The Planet donate at least 1% of their annual net revenues to environmental organizations.

American Whitewater is the only organization 100% dedicated to the health of whitewater rivers nationwide.  Founded in 1954 American Whitewater has positively influenced 1,000’s of river miles and is currently working on over 65 projects nationwide.  American Whitewater primary source of funding is through donations and membership from whitewater enthusiasts nationwide.
