Whitewater Courses and Parks 2007 is the second gathering of professionals involved in the development and management of whitewater courses and parks in the US and abroad.
The first conference held in October 2005 received rave reviews for the quality of the program and the breadth of experience represented by the presenters. This year, we will both address the same popular topics and respond to the participants’ requests for additional panels.
Whitewater courses and parks are being designed and built as environmental improvements and economic stimulants. They are major components of successful greenway development and urban reclamation initiatives. They create regional destinations for river enthusiasts and adjacent land-based recreation, venues for whitewater competitions and innovative anchors for business relocation.
Successful whitewater venues are being designed, constructed and sustained by the vision, careful planning and engineering design expertise of community, public works, municipal, and land management leaders – like you.
This conference will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas for those involved in whitewater course projects, energized and deepened by the projects that have been installed since the first conference in 2005. You will meet peers with whom you share challenges and opportunities along with technical experts who have "been there" and are able to offer sound advice. As the closing session ends you will be equipped to create more success with less misspent time and resources.
