Come out for this year’s Feather River Festival September 27th and 28th. The festivities will take place at Indian Jim campground/school, a mile upstream of Tobin on Hwy 70 at milepost 8.2. This abandoned campground has plenty of spaces, and is FREE and right on the river – but there is no running water, so please bring your own. You can put in or take out or hang out and swim there, and be on site for Saturday’s festivities, including food, Sierra Nevada beer, and two bands – blues and surf rock! We will also do the slalom course there, noon to 4pm – class II, suitable for the whole family – beginning to expert kayakers. The race is FREE so everybody should give the slalom a try. We will also do a Class V Tobin downriver race on Saturday. There will be an auction for the Dagger or Wavesport kayak of choice along with other items from our sponsorship list on the flyer. All of these proceeds will go to supporting American Whitewater’s hard work in making these releases, and so much more, happen for boaters across the country.
We will be providing food (grilled hot dogs and burgers and veggies) for a set fee (donation), about $10.
