Everyone loves to attend the world’s biggest paddling festival: the American Whitewater Gauley Fest presented by Subaru. However, what most people don’t realize is that outside AW’s 8 full-time employees, it’s a completely volunteer run event!
AW sure could use your help. Please sign up for 2 hours (or more) and become a part of the Gauley Fest Volunteer Team! It’s a fun and easy way for you to be a critical part of an amazing festival. For your time you’ll be given a volunteers only Gauley Fest t-shirt, a raffle ticket to a volunteers only drawing for a Jackson Kayak boat, invitation to a private volunteers only dinner Friday night (with great beer!) and the feeling of knowing that you make Gauley Fest happen!
Here are some possible volunteer opportunities for you and your crew:
Set-up: Arriving Early? We need help all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Electrical: Are you an electrician? We could really use your help on Thursday or Friday.
Gate, Parking, Membership Drive, and T-shirt Sales: We need your help for these positions Saturday night from 4pm on. This is where we need the most volunteers and this is where you have the most fun!
Clean-up: the more folks we have Sunday morning the faster it goes!
