As paddling season kicks into high gear, we hope that you'll consider making a contribution to American Whitewater on Tuesday May 6th–The Seattle Foundation's GiveBIG day.
When you donate to American Whitewater through GiveBIG on May 6th your donation will go further! It's a great way for everyone to strengthen their support. Several lucky donors will win a "Golden Ticket," which will automatically increase their donation by $1,000, no matter the size of the donation!
The goal of The Seattle Foundation is to "build a healthy, vibrant community and improve the quality of life of Washington state residents." American Whitewater's office in Seattle supports these goals and allows us to participate in this event. However, you can still contribute no matter where you live and the funds will support our general program needs to protect more free-flowing rivers, restore flows, enhance access, and promote safe whitewater boating.
If your membership has lapsed and you donate $35 or more during GiveBIG, your donation will be credited to your annual membership dues.
What do you need to do?
STEP #1: Mark your calendar or set an alert reminding you to take action on May 6th.
STEP #2: Share this message with your paddling buddies, letting them know about this special opportunity to make their dollars go even further.
STEP #3: Between midnight and 11:59 p.m. on May 6th, visit The Seattle Foundation's American Whitewater web page and make a donation.
