On May 19th 2022 Plattsburgh city fire department dispatched to an overturned canoe unknown injuries/victims. on arrival crews discovered solo paddler on the shoreline seeking assistance to retrieve her canoe and equipment; which was stuck mid river. paddler was uninjured and properly equipped. crews were able to perform a shallow water crossing and retrieve the equipment. No injuries, no loss of equipment. solo hornbeck pack canoe capsized lodged in shallow rocks mid river. All gear and equipment secured to canoe.
