Malvern, AR; The body of Greg Slocum of Little Rock, was recovered on the Ouachita River Thursday morning. Slocum had been tubing with friends when he fell of the tube and disappeared. His body was found by a local resident. The local canoe club Kayakers practice on this ledge daily and every weekend they pull drunk tubers out of a dangerous hydraulic. The Malvern, Arkansas fire department participates in an average of a dozen calls per year but they are not getting reported here. A call to the Malvern Fire department rescue team would probably get you large numbers of serious reports.
